Position Overview
As Head of Operational Risk Management, you will play a key leadership role in overseeing the organisation’s operational risk framework. You will ensure robust identification, assessment, and monitoring of risks across all business lines while fostering a strong risk culture. Reporting directly to senior management, you will contribute to strategic decision-making and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Operational Risk Management function and oversee a dedicated team.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the operational risk management framework, policies, and procedures.
- Identify, assess, and monitor operational risks across the institution’s activities.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with FINMA and other relevant supervisory requirements.
- Oversee the risk and control self-assessment (RCSA) process and key risk indicators (KRIs).
- Manage incident reporting, root cause analysis, and remediation plans.
- Collaborate with internal audit, compliance, and business units to strengthen controls and risk awareness.
- Provide regular reporting to senior management and the board risk committee.
- Act as a trusted advisor on operational risk for strategic projects and initiatives.

Profile & Requirements
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in operational risk management within the financial services sector (banking or asset management preferred).
- Strong knowledge of FINMA regulations, Basel standards, and operational risk best practices.
- Proven experience leading teams and driving cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities, both in English and French.
